The liaison between Peter Schweizer and the digital world has lasted since he bought an ATARI 600XL in 1984. The almost 40 years since his first contact with a blinking cursor have been filled with everything that is called "nerd culture" today.
After he graduated in communication design at the Merz Akademie with the thesis: »Digital Dialogue - Design of Graphical User Interfaces«, he founds the »Büro für Gestaltung« with two like-minded people in 1993, is the sole owner after 2 years, writes 10 years for the leading German trade magazine PAGE about tips & tricks for desktop publishers, publishes further technical articles in X't, Computerwoche and MacUp, works for BOSCH, Mercedes, writes three own books about WebDesign until 2004, then survives the collapse of the New Economy, the financial crisis, two unsuccessful mergers and never turns his back on communication during this time.
In 2015, he returns to his roots and focuses on communication in the digital realm with »Living the Net«. At the same time, Peter Schweizer is developing a 120-hour certificate course for the Chamber of Industry and Commerce and is involved in various political and private initiatives.
He lives in Murr near Stuttgart with his wife Kerstin Schweizer, with whom he has worked professionally for 20 years, and two of three children.
